The second largest of the islands of Hawaii, Maui welcomes millions of tourists each year. Many of these visitors do so for beautiful Maui weddings and receptions. The beauty and possibilities of this island make it a very popular wedding destination. With all of the locations to choose from, couples planning a Maui wedding will have plenty to choose from. Whether they want a beach wedding, church ceremony or another type, Maui has something to suit them. For outdoor weddings, Ahihi Bay can be a great spot. It is a small beach of white sand with waves crashing against the lava rock. Because this particular location is a reserve, it can be found free of fishing and boating. It offers a particularly great view of the sunset, and Maui weddings at dusk are among the most beautiful outdoor ceremonies you will find anywhere. Another public spot great for an outdoor wedding is Maluaka Beach. It is located in front of the Westin Maui Prince Resort, and can be convenient if the wedding party and guests are staying at the hotel. The reception following the ceremony can either be on the beach or moved inside the hotel. Because so many weddings take place as the sun goes down, this too is a great location because of its fantastic view of the sunset. |
